COMMITTEE CHAIR • 1-YEAR TERM • NON-VOTING POSITION

As an official Committee Chair for the 2024-25 season, the Photographer will hold a valuable role in the organization by visually documenting the organization’s events and preserving memorable moments for all participants. Additionally, they contribute to the promotion of the organization through effective support of the Board in media strategies and content creation.

The position requires a skilled individual to join our team as a Photographer on a 1-year term basis. The Photographer will serve as a Committee Chair in a non-voting capacity.


Requirements

The position requires the following:
   - CPR Certification
   - Federal Background Clearance

*All certifications must be obtained at the beginning of the season, and the associated costs are the responsibility of the individual.

Qualifications

The position requires the following qualifications:

• Minimum of two years of photography experience
• Preference will be given to candidates who can provide a portfolio showcasing their previous work.
• Possess a creative eye and artistic vision to capture compelling and impactful photographs that effectively convey the organization’s mission, activities, and impact
• Proficient in operating cameras, understanding lighting composition, and other technical aspects of photography to produce high-quality images
• Being adaptable and flexible to work in various environments and situations of events or activities
• Attention to detail to capture the essence of moments, emotions, and important elements in photographs
• Being able to tell a compelling narrative through visual storytelling
• Demonstrating strong time management skills to meet deadlines for delivering edited photographs, ensuring timely completion of projects

Responsibilities of the Photographer:

1. Attend Board Meetings: Attending all open session Board Meetings to provide updates, insights, and stay informed about organizational matters.

2. Capture and Manage Photography: Capture and manage all photography for the organization, including events such as football games, cheer events, and parent events, ensuring comprehensive coverage.

3. Photo Database Management: Demonstrate proficiency in photo management and effectively utilize photo databases to organize and store photographs for easy access and retrieval.

4. Attend Organizational Events: Attend all organizational events in their entirety, including football games, cheer competitions, parent events, etc., to capture important moments and activities.

5. Collaborate and Support Media Requests: Collaborate with the President or Vice-President to fulfill any photo requests for media, providing support in selecting and providing relevant photographs for promotional purposes.

6. Leadership, Communication, and Organizational Skills: Exhibit strong leadership, effective communication, and organizational skills to coordinate photography efforts, prioritize tasks, and ensure seamless operations.

7. Inclusive Photography: Recognize the significance of photographing all children, rather than just a select few, ensuring inclusivity and representation of all participants in the organization’s activities.
